These Terms of Use (“Terms“) govern your use of www.taran.co.uk (the “Website“), operated by Taran Managed Services Limited, trading as Taran (“we“, “us“, “our“), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15700062, registered address 61-62 Tempus Business Centre, Kingsclere Road, Basingstoke, RG21 6XG.

By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Website.

Note on scope: these Terms cover use of the Website only. If you’re a client of ours, the IT support and managed services we provide are governed by your separate service agreement with us, not these Terms.

1. Use of the Website
You may use the Website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, our systems, or any account (including the client support portal at support.taran.co.uk)
  • Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material
  • Scrape, data-mine or use automated tools to extract content without our written permission
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

We may suspend or restrict your access to the Website (or the support portal) if we reasonably believe you’ve breached these Terms.

2. Intellectual property

All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, images and the underlying design and code — is owned by Taran or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use, but you may not reproduce, republish or distribute content without our prior written consent.

The Taran name and logo are our trademarks. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use them.

3. Accuracy of information

We take reasonable care to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we make no warranty that the content is complete, accurate, or free of errors. Content on the Website (including our Insights articles) is general information only and is not a substitute for tailored advice about your specific IT, cybersecurity or compliance needs — please contact us directly for that.

4. Third-party links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any linked site, and including a link doesn’t imply our endorsement of it.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Website available and free of faults, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict availability of all or part of the Website for business or operational reasons, at any time and without notice.

6. Support portal

Access to our client support portal (support.taran.co.uk) is provided to clients under their service agreement with us. Use of the portal is also subject to any acceptable use terms of the underlying platform. Unauthorised access or misuse of the portal is a breach of these Terms and may constitute a criminal offence.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that can’t be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to that, we won’t be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. Nothing in this section affects the liability provisions in a separate signed service agreement between Taran and a client.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any losses, damages or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page — the “Last updated” date shows when that happened. Continued use of the Website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
