What can we tell you about Taran?


This is the place on websites where too many companies fire off their generic marketing spiel, telling you what they believe you would want to hear, rather than telling you the facts about their business. Take the global banking sector as a prime example. Despite headlining failures and bailouts of mind blowing proportions, the banks’ websites would have you to believe the world of finance is currently as smooth as a millpond.
Clearly, we all know to the contrary and that’s not really our style at Taran. We feel that this would defeat the purpose of you taking the time to read up about us. So, first thing is to say is thank you for your time and interest in our business.

 

 

The ideal partner


It’s only when you dig a little deeper, looking at the substance and specifics of a company, that the differences become apparent. A company with a cleverly written profile and glossy brochure cannot succeed alone on this and if it's sharp suits and smooth sales pitches that you are looking for, it’s unlikely that Taran will be your perfect partner.
A company’s customers will tell you much about the company. Taran’s individual approach, with its strong customer focus, has led to it having customers who have been with the company since 1992, the year that Taran started. Unsurprisingly, both Taran, and its customers, have developed and evolved during this time, and this ability to evolve has been a key factor to Taran’s success (that Darwin chap was pretty smart). A long term relationship offers stability and, so long as the focus and effort is maintained, it will evolve continuously with an ever strengthening understanding for both sides of the relationship.

At Taran and see ourselves as somewhat different. This difference is very important, it gives our business it individual identity. We think that most businesses view themselves in the same way, as individual, and with our relentless customer focus we feel that it is key to us to understand the way our customers think and operate. So, why is this so important to us? It’s simple, if we understand our customer, their perceptions and expectations, then we understand what they want from us when they describe projects, developments and issues. To confidently propose a solution we feel that our knowledge and understanding of technology is important, but that’s our bread and butter business and it should be like falling off a log. To propose a solution and understand all the impacts on every individual and every existing system within that particular business, that’s customer focus, that’s understanding, and that’s Taran.
